Can my folding curtains be custom-made?

If you are looking for a custom-made folding curtain that is not on this page, we will be happy to sew it especially for you at no extra charge.

For example, if you want a folding curtain measuring 100x180 cm, choose the nearest slightly wider variant: 125x180 cm and add it to the basket. Then write your special measurements in the comments field.

How long is the delivery time for folding curtains?

Delivery time for ordered folding curtains is approximately 14 days.

The folding curtain is a made-to-order item that we take home especially for you. According to current legislation, there is no right of withdrawal when purchasing made-to-order, so it is not possible to return these items.

Curtains cannot be returned or exchanged as they are made to order.

Can folding curtains improve the acoustics in a room?

Pleated blinds are sewn into fabric, which makes them sound-absorbing because textiles absorb sound. Whether you choose them in a heavy or light material, you will find that the sound in that room will be better.

Do folding curtains let in a lot of light?

Compared to blinds, panel curtains and long fabric curtains that hang on opposite sides of the window, pleated curtains do not take in much light.

Can folding curtains completely block out light?

If your folding curtain is to be used for blackout or you simply want a slightly thicker curtain, we also offer lining of the curtain in both regular lining and blackout lining.

What is the advantage of folding curtains with cord pulls?

With folding curtains with a cord pull, a cord is used to raise and lower the curtain. The advantage of choosing a cord pull is that the cord is relatively discreet.

The disadvantage is that the cord follows the curtain. This means that the cord is short when the curtain is unfolded and long when the curtain is folded.

What is the advantage of folding curtains with chain pull?

Chain-operated roller blinds have a chain rather than a cord to adjust the curtain. The advantage of choosing chain-operated curtains is that the chain is always the same length, no matter how high or low the curtain is.

Can folding curtains be washed?

Since Made By Fick pleated curtains are sewn from fabric, they collect dust – especially if they are hung in the bedroom or children's room, where there are bed linens and other textiles that also attract dust. Our pleated curtains can be easily removed and washed in the washing machine or you can choose to send them to dry cleaning.

It is a good idea to pre-wash the fabric you choose for your folding curtains if you want to machine wash them. This way you ensure that they do not shrink. This can be selected during the purchase process.
